There are no sacrifices with the Pro-R Hypercharger, the frontal opening is huge & the vacuum operated butterflies allow for almost unrestricted airflow to the filter under high-load riding situations. In addition the outer cover features an incorporated scoop to direct air into a high-flow, washable foam filter element paired to one of the best flowing K&N filter elements on the market. And thanks to the carefully designed interior shapes, air flow is smooth & precise, delivering maximum pow er. Complete with mounting hardware & crankcase breather kits.

Hypercharger

I'm not sure of any performance gains, but it certainly works just as well as the Screaming Eagle air cleaner I had. The look is amazing. Make sure you get the kuryakyn breather bolt covers though, as the breather bolts that come with this kit are hideous.
