Multi-Hop Technology

UClear HBC200 introduces Super Group Intercom and Multi-Hop technology, specifically for group communications with full duplex intercom.
Multi-hop technology, used in military tactical communications, provides superior sound quality and connection stability over Bluetooth intercom systems that suffer from interference and are line of sight dependent.
By incorporating Multi-ho p technology, each UClear HBC200 control unit works as a repeater or relay station, enabling the network to grow as more control units/riders are added to the group. Depending on riding conditions, the intercom range between two riders is up to 700 meters. Adding a third unit/rider increase the intercom range up to an additional 700 meters. Add a fourth rider and the entire group can communicate up to 2100 meters (1.3 miles) in full duplex intercom mode.

Great Audio but lacking in Operations

I just recieved my HBC200 Dual Force. Installation was a breeze even the pairing went well but after pairing I did realize Each Rider or passenger must have their own music source such as a phone or mp3 player, they can not both (rider and passenger) listen to the same music source such as 1 phone. Immediately upon usage I realized the bigest issue. You can't set them up to listen to music and allow the intercom to used and then switch back to music without actually reaching to the unit and first pausing your music then switching to intercom, then when complete reaching to the unit to switch back to music and then un pausing the music. All to just go through the same process to talk to your passenger again next time. I was previously using a ChatterBox and it would allow you to listen to music until the intercom was activated either through a PTT or Vox it would then switch back to music when the conversation was completed. I have spoke with UCLEAR support and they verifi ed this unit will not work that way and requires manually switching between intercom and music by the rider each and every time. This is unacceptable and I'll be returning my units immediately. Sound quality is great but those buttons are next to unusable.

Riding is Now Fun; Service is Excellent

Initial set up went okay. Worked great until firmware update applied. After experiencing difficulties and contacting UClear, Lauren provided expert guidance and stayed in constant contact, eventually shipping replacements back quickly- all communique from her was pleasant; she is determined to provide great customer satisfaction...and does. Yes, these are pricey, but with Lauren on your team, it's no risk. Would not hesitate to recommend UClears to other bikers. Had these been available back in the 70's, would have never sold my '73 Sportster! All I lacked for great rides in those days were the tunes....and now I got 'em- forty years later. Don't do booms, do UClears!

do not purchase. you cannot hear each other over 40mph. and if you are farther than 100ft away. does not clip to helmet very well
